Abstract

In this workshop we will offer solutions how to overcome the challenges of installing a lifelong learning culture. Participants will get a glimpse of tools and methods for RPL and VNFIL, as well as a possible method plan for combining Micro Credentials, EQF and VNFIL. It will be “Hands on, on the 4 Phases of Validation” (Identification, Documentation, Assessment, Certification). An international example will be given on an engineering master which consists of Micro Credentials and uses VNFIL.

Participants can come up with their projects in either one of these areas and we will scratch possible pathways for combining these European instruments (including the Europass).

We will ask each participant to present her/his project and its challenge with RPL. We will discuss the barriers given by bureaucracy, but built visions to find ways out of these impasses by incorporation, by building trust through peer review (we will give them tools how to implement peer review for validation) and by fostering permeability (how to incorporate adult learners institutions and stake holders.

Discussions will be moderated (also in brake out rooms) and different on and offline moderation methods will be used. We will be three persons in this workshop. One presenter and moderator and two to give support and moderate in brakeout-rooms.
